In case of violation of traffic rules, according to 20 "violations", points will be scored according to the prescribed rules and conditions, and points will be deducted immediately, as follows:
Type 1 "immediate scoring", 1 point, including: using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a safety helmet, not wearing a seat belt, speeding, driving on the sidewalk, fatigue driving, not labeling or changing, blocking and not labeling Tax labels, 2 points, including violation of traffic lights, retrograde, driving during revocation of certificates, etc. 3 points, including random driving such as (one-handed, eating while driving, chatting with mobile phone without looking ahead, etc.), hit and run. 4 points, including drunk driving, driving while taking drugs, racing on the road without permission, and driving in disregard of the safety of others.
Type 2 "Deduction of points for non-payment of fines", 1 point for non-payment of fines orders.
A deputy spokesman for the Thai government said that if a driver is deducted to 0 points, his driving license will be revoked or he will be banned from driving any kind of vehicle for 90 days. If the driver drives while his driving license is revoked, he shall be punished with imprisonment for up to 3 months, a fine not exceeding 10,000 baht, or both. If the driving license is suspended for a third time within 3 years, the driving license can be banned for more than 90 days. If the driving license is suspended for a fourth time, the driving license must be revoked immediately.
The points deducted for each time will be refunded within one year from the date of the violation. If you apply to the Ministry of Land Transport for training, you can only get 8 points. Through rules and conditions training, 12 points can be regained. Drivers can view order points on the E-Ticket PTM website or the DHUB DEE app and pay fines on the app.
